The 2025 Icestock Sport World and European Youth Championships concluded with a spectacular finale. The prestigious team competition, known as the “crown discipline,” marked the grand conclusion of these exciting championships.
Head-to-head race between Germany and Austria
A glance at the medal standings reveals a thrilling head-to-head race between Germany and Austria. Particularly noteworthy was Slovenia’s success in the distance competition: with a gold medal, the country has established itself as an emerging power in ice stock sport. India also made a strong statement with its high participation and numerous athletes, showcasing the impact of dedicated youth development in advancing the sport globally.

The versatility of icestock sport was once again demonstrated through its many disciplines, providing an exciting and diverse program for spectators, filled with thrilling competitions at the highest level.
All athletes gave their best and competed with great passion for their countries. The organizers ensured optimal conditions and delivered an outstanding event, much to the delight of the spectators. On the final day, an impressive 1,000 fans attended the competitions in the arena a promising sign for the upcoming Men’s and Women’s World Championships in Stanz and Kapfenberg, where a sold-out venue is expected.
Exciting distance competition in Stanz
One of the highlights of the event was the distance track in Stanz, which proved to be a true gem for distance athletes. A big thank you goes to both municipalities for their tremendous support, as well as to the ice rink operator in Kapfenberg for the excellent cooperation—despite some initial challenges.
Hugh success of live broadcasts
Another major success was the immense reach of the live broadcasts. The viewership numbers on fantastic-icestock.tv were phenomenal, and we anticipate an even greater worldwide audience for the upcoming World Championship broadcasts from March 7–9, 2025. Additionally, the Olympic Channel will be broadcasting the event live with English commentary – a major milestone in increasing international visibility for ice stock sport.
With this successful championship, anticipation for the upcoming competitions is at an all-time high icestock sport is ready for its next big highlights.
